Athinkra, LLC serves the complex linguistic and technical needs of diverse computing markets in Africa and regions of South and Southeast Asia at commercial scale.

People

Athinkra is registered in the State of Connecticut, USA.  Our members are currently based in the US. 

Our combined expertise lies in the related areas of font design & development, programming, and script consulting to meet Unicode and ISO-10646 standards.

Recent work has included standards development with respect to the Bassa and Vai languages of Liberia, and Bamum of Cameroon, under the auspices of the Script Encoding Initiative with support from the U.S. National Endowment for the Humanities.  Ongoing research into the Kpelle and Loma languages of Guinea and Liberia is underway.
